Getting down to the wire...

5 days to go...I went to open the FCP Project file of the KHRINJ "Rule of Steel" last night and discovered that it was "Unable to open project file." Nice. Well, I lost a good portion of the last two weeks' worth of work. I didn't even realize that I had "Autosave" turned off in the preferences and did not have a very recent backup copy. Luckily I had made a backup copy a couple of weeks early save often...and turn on AUTOSAVE dumbass! Anyway, I was able to recover some of the most recently rendered files by simply opening the Render Files folder and opening each rendere FCP clip individually and importing them into a new timeline in a new project.

I cancelled the shoot for today with the KHRINJ guys due to 1. no power 2. rain 3. lack of preperation due to an ENORMOUS stumbling block in the editing of "Rule of Steel" it has been rescheduled to August 7, 2005.

I am not usually one to cancel a shoot...but under certain circumstances you have to cut your losses (and we actually didn't lose anything this time). Gotta know when to hold em...and definitely KNOW WHEN TO FOLD EM.

Gotta love Willy...

I have finally received my inspiration for "Rule of Steel" and am heavily into editing it. It's becoming addictive and enlightening and...FUN? Is that a concept? fUn?

I know I have a lot of work to make up right now but am totally prepared for it. I can't wait to see what comes out of it.
